Hailing from the proud state of New Jersey, Abigail Parker has been drawing since the day when she successfully drew a brontosaurus in preschool. In the intervening years, her drawing skills have (somewhat) improved. Abigail was graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 where her work was shown at several student exhibitions. In addition she has taken various artistic classes at the School of Visual Arts and duCret School of the Arts. Her works include visual narrative, illustration, landscape, portraiture, and photography.
Abigail has traveled extensively in Europe, Southeast Asia, and the United States and is always seeking adventure. While studying in Khon Kaen, Thailand, her photographs were featured in student publications, and she was known as "that camera with the girl". Currently Abigail is illustrating Planet Jersey, which imagines what follows when the entire state of New Jersey unexpectedly blasts off into space and people stop being polite and start getting real (forthcoming). When not engaged in artistic pursuits, Abigail enjoys long shoegazer graphic novels, public radio, and dirty hippes.
